The Training and Placement Cell of “SWADHIN” continuously strive to keep track of highly dynamic nature of technology across various sectors of economy. As a consequence it is possible to enumerate the changing skill need of the World of Work. For example, in the plumbing sector several technologies have converged viz. Mechanical & Plumbing science is intersecting with Electrical, Electronics, and Instrumentation engineering and IT to create state of the art toilets and waste disposal systems e.g. Airports, Hotels. Because of such amalgamation of technologies, new skill needs are generated; thereby newer job roles are created. At our Training & Placement cell we are catering to it up to the complete satisfaction of the Industry.
We continuously capture the Lab Our Market Signals across different sectors through robust Industry-Institute-Interface built over the years of collaboration with the captains of Industry. Such information is analyzed to prepare our students to face the challenges of World of Work. Thus we are at par with the changing demands of labour market and apprehend that the training provided to the students during last year may not be sufficient for making them Industry ready this year.
We are always vigilant and well informed about the Human Resource Planning of different companies and prepare and market our students at specific sectors accordingly. We are constantly in touch with PNCVR and Sector Skills Councils to enrich our information cache. ent. We often interact with NCA and ISC after identification of the job roles for better placements of our students.
The various methods adopted for honing the skills of our students include Industry visits, imparting top-up skills through tailor made programs designed in consultation with Industry, inviting guest faculties from Industry for deliberation on latest technology/ convergent technology to supplement the in-house competencies, discussion with peer group, On the Job Training both in-house and off campus and much more.
